RotoCarpet Professional Carpet Cleaning

According to *"Mary Ellen's Giant Book of Helpful Hints" there are several ways to clean spills that have turned into stains. 1)for fresh stains, use plain club soda. Pour a bit on the spot (don't soak it), let it foam and sizzle and let set for a few seconds. Sponge up thoroughly. 2)for older stains, combine 2 tablespoons detergent, 3 tablespoons vinegar, and one quart warm water. Work into stain and blot dry. 3) Using shaving cream, let it foam on the carpet and then rinse with a damp cloth. Blot dry. After any one of these methods, cover the spot with a clean towel or paper towels and place a heavy item such as a book on top of it. When the towel becomes damp, replace it with a dry one.

The most effective method for heavily soiled carpets is to have them professionally cleaned. Remember that your carpet is actually the air quality filter for your entire home trapping most of the dust, pollen, and other pollutants that pass through your home either via feet or airborne. By not cleaning your carpets the recommended 12 to 18 months you risk health and sanitation issues ever time you walk on your carpets.

Here's how it works:

The Rotovac employs a patented process of Rotary Jet Extraction cleaning. Each stainless steel cleaning head has three spray jets followed by three vacuum slots. Dual high torque gear motors power the heads in a counter-rotating motion at 250 RPM to produce 1500 rotary cleaning passed per minute.

The patented dome-shaped design of the cleaning heads completely encapsulates the spray jets and vacuum slots to create a "steam chamber" effect in the cleaning zone with minimal heat loss. This powerful combination of contained heat, agitation and multiple flushing action creates cleaning dynamics that cannot be equaled with a manual wand.

GENERAL UPHOLSTERY CLEANING & CARE GUIDELINES

Follow the simple guidelines below to keep all your upholstered furniture looking like new.

• To avoid fading, keep upholstered home furniture away from direct sunlight.
• Vacuum upholstered furniture as often as possible. Even if your home furniture has seen little use, the abrasive action of dirt and dust particles can wear the fibers of your upholstery fabric. For high-use furniture, it's a good idea to frequently beat the cushions and then vacuum and rotate them.
• Damp-dust arms and headrest areas with a cleaning solution to prevent body oil accumulation on the upholstery fabric (be sure to follow the manufacturer's recommendation as to the type of upholstery cleaning solution to use)
• Avoid placing newspapers directly on home furniture upholstery fabric, since ink will accumulate and is difficult to remove.
• Never cover your upholstered home furniture with dark-colored blankets, sheets, etc., because the dyes can rub off onto fabric when dry or bleed when wet.
• Avoid the use of dyes, paints, inks, nail polishes, and Mercurochrome around your upholstery fabric, since these substances alter color and will stain.
• Never remove cushion covers for dry cleaning or machine washing, even though they have zippers.
• Periodic professional cleaning will keep soil accumulation from marring the beauty of the upholstery of your home living room, dining room, and bedroom furniture.
